First of all, let me just say all of my prayers and thoughts go out to the families and loved ones of those in Haiti as well as those going through this traumatic and unimaginable event.
I encourage everyone to try to donate SOMETHING to Haiti. If we all give a little, it will go a long way. The cast of In The Heights attended a benefit last night at Mojitos in Boston on Winter St. It was sprinkled with wonderful artists and musicians who played as entertainment and auctioned items off. Our cast member, Sandy Alvarez shared his poem about Haiti with us to the beat of a drum, which circled the room and got everyone into the one love spirit.

BOSTON until January 25th
WOW. It has been QUITE the week here in Boston, already. Almost all of the understudies went on (Congratulations to you talented kids!) and several swings. I love Boston, although I lived here for a year, I changed so much as a person that I have come to appreciate the city so much more. I was a little homesick coming into the city from Hartford, but I honestly think being in a somewhat familiar place made things easier.
I am getting to know new people day to day, more and more. Some folks are in NYC on our day off and I already miss them!!! I miss you Mess and Matt....we said "see you later" and happy trails to some of the company this week. It was emotional and also celebratory of what is to come for them. I miss CA weather and cannot WAIT for Florida....or for Tommy Kail and others to visit us in Boston. It will be like a family reunion :) <3>
OK that is all for now. -Morgan

Hartford, Connecticut
Hartford is definitely a business district. It is a little bit of a scary area, but I'm sure the outskirts are gorgeous. We have a wonderful, beautifully constructed capitol building next to our theater.
It has been a little crazy around here. Since Hartford is so close to NY, and one of our swings is injured, they sent a B'way dance captain to fill in. It is great and such a pleasure to have him here. I'm sending my prayers and healing thoughts to "mess" hehe....his nickname.
The end to Chicago was celebrated by some of our cast members seeing "The Adams Family." One of the B-way original cast members is starring in the show, so we had to go support. The sets were beautiful and, of course, Nathan Lane was hilarious. It was good to be entertained for once, and not be IN or a part of the art being shown.
The Heights show has definitely found its rhythm. I think Chicago really energized us. I found a sense of ease and yet vibrant energy about the show tonight, watching part of the first act--back of house. It was sort of refreshing, could be the new year, or new city. Although, our TRAVEL DAY was the longest, yet most fun thing ever. We waited 4 hours to get on another flight because one of the passengers de-boarding our flight was unable to get off. So we ended up traveling for almost 12 hours...to go from Chicago to Connecticut....WOW. I was wiped.
OK, off to bed for now. I will post pictures or video soon, I hope. Understudy run-thru tomorrow--wish me luck.
